Jacqui supports an educational approach to family therapy. She believes that the strengths and resources of each family or parenting team can be
reinforced with an understanding of the developmental stage of each individual in the family, how they relate to each other and how they interact with
the broader community. Jacqui relies on her experience and knowledge in mental health, family systems, child development, couple's therapy, and family
transitions to help families with the particular difficulties they are facing. Families are assisted through education, coaching and facilitating
communication to help them clarify concerns, develop effective communication and manage emotions. In family therapy a major component is to educate
families about research and literature with respect to their particular family issues such as mental health problems, child related issues or separation
and divorce.
